Pu-erh tea is a unique category of post-fermented tea originating from Yunnan Province, China. It is crafted from the broad-leaf tea varieties native to the region, using sun-dried green tea as the base material. The name “Pu-erh” comes from the ancient Pu-erh Prefecture (present-day Pu’er City), a historic trading hub along the Tea Horse Road.
